The City of South Bend Department of Community Investment will have a public meeting to present the grant narrative entitled “Western Avenue Transformation District” for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). The grant narrative addresses the redevelopment and affordable housing projects with a focus on the Rabbi Shulman apartments. The narrative details the importance of affordable housing in South Bend and the positive impact redevelopment will have on residents.
