Riverside Drive - California Avenue - Leland Avenue Intersection Improvements

Project Purpose

The City of South Bend has made improvements to the Riverside Drive-California Avenue-Leland Avenue intersection to promote safety, further calm traffic, reduce unnecessary pavement, and encourage residential investment.

Project Scope

Improvements are being made to the intersection and areas immediately adjoining it. Planned work includes

• The realignment of curbs,
• Addition of corner pedestrian safety bumpouts,
• Replacement of sidewalk and driveway approaches,
• Street paving,
• Street trees and sod, and
• Street lighting upgrades.

Project Schedule

Construction has been completed.
